Exotics
Since
the drusy phenomena can occur in various minerals, we offer collection
of hard to find exotic drusies. Please come see us at
the Tucson Gem Show, or JCK Las Vegas.
Here's a sample of what you may find:
Blue Chrysocolla Drusy--at long last, strikingly blue chrysocolla from
Chile. There are arty, colorful mixtures with different shades of blue, sometimes
interspersed with white, gray, and black.
Dalmation
Drusy--sparkling snow white drusy quartz blankets a shiny jet surface
of high polished psilomelane. This natural drusy is found in only one mine
in the world, located in New Mexico, USA. Another unusual varitation of dalmation
drusy is sometimes found in drusy quartz, with different kind of patterned
formation. On our last rough-hunting trip to Brazil, we scored some fantastic
pieces.
Rainbow Hematite--this spectacular, iridescent gemstone is all natural
in color, from a "one time only" find in Brazil. Striking yet subtle,
rainbow hematite combines the incredible color contrast of black opal with
the exciting shimmer of drusy gemstones. The rich interplays of blue, green,
gold, and violet is absolutely stunning. (Because of its delicate nature,
we have backed this stone with either black onyx or liquid metal for additional
strength. Some natural shedding of sparkling hematite particles should be
expected, which will not noticeably effect the appearance of your gemstone.)
